Laboratory Equipment Technology (LET) was started in 1973 by Denis Wishart and four other partners. Rod Barnes joined LET later that year and eventually became co-owner with Denis. Today with two additional technicians, the company operates out of Northeast Portland and cover a territory that includes the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
Originally LET was intended to be a service company targeting the medical laboratory field. Since its inception, the company has added many more types of equipment that it services, from the medical / dental / and pharmaceutical fields.
LET became affiliated with Medical Equipment Repair Associates (MERA) in 1975. As an associate member of MERA, LET service personnel are trained and certified by manufacturers on the repair and maintenance of their equipment. MERA members are now service representatives for over 100 manufacturers.
